Playing at the Park and Soccer

We have had wonderful weather this spring. After the worst drought in 100 years, we are finally getting rain and possibly enough to refill the reservoirs and basins. We were able to spend some time at a park after soccer practice. The boys enjoyed playing on 'new stuff'. Dixon loved the slides best....all that climbing for my monkey boy! Porter loved the speaker things...sort of like talking into a microphone and giving me directions.

Porter is playing soccer this spring. It is his first experience with a team sport. He has learned a lot and really enjoyed the season. The main goal is to learn to not touch the ball and what it means to be on a team. He loves it when he is in the mood to play. There have been some hot games where the kids would rather sit and snack than run and play. He is progressing as the season goes along. Every week we can say he gets better at playing and participating!

Easter with the Ehlers Family

Matt and Porter took a day off school so that we could meet up with the Ehlers gang in Kennesaw. Andy and his family came down during their spring break to stay with Scott and his family. The rest of us took a day from work. We played and lunched at Chuck E. Cheese and then went to Lisa's house for more visiting and play.

The day went by too quickly! We wish that Andy could live closer and we could spend more time playing!

Easter at Nanny and Papa's

The Easter Bunny brought great treats of big play balls, bubble stuff, leapster game, and some candy. Porter loved the games and Dixon went straight for the chocolate...wrapper and all!

We had a great visit on Easter Sunday to my parents home. The boys had an egg hunt and loved playing with their Uncles.

Dixon the Swimmer

Dixon did finish his ISR survivial swimming classes last month. What a champ! We are looking forward to the swimming pool opening on Friday! Keeping our fingers crossed for no rain...at least not for the weekend.

At the last day, they swim in their winter clothes to make sure the children would know what to do if they fell into the water. It is a different feeling to swim with all of your clothes on. Since Emily is with us during the week, the instructor wanted they to swim together also. They were great but did not really like having their clothes and shoes get wet.

Here they are back in their swimsuits.

My little champs! We are ready for the summer pool season!!
